Tikka Masala is a bit of a recipe that is believed to have been created by accident. The story goes that a Bangladeshi chef was serving a dish of traditional chicken tikka that had been requested at a British diner, and someone said to him "Where's the sauce?" The annoyed chef at the time poured spices into a container of creamy tomato sauce and replied: "You want sauce? I'll give you sauce!" The results were spectacular and the Indian British Chicken Tikka Masala was thus dramatically born.
