Studies have shown the quality superiority of the giants of Kastoria compared to those of other regions, thanks to the climatic conditions of the region, which favor their cultivation, e.g. the increased humidity of the lakeside land, as well as its soil composition and altitude. These factors also allow the minimal use of fertilizers. The Kastoria giants that we have come from the cultivation of genuine local varieties and have the lead in protein as well as taste.
